  ABOUT DR. VON
George VonHilsheimer, Ph.D., F.R.S.H. (or Dr. Von as his clients call him) has many of his accomplishments described in: WHO'S WHO
  • WHO'S WHO IN MEDICINE

  • WHO'S WHO IN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

  • WHO'S WHO IN THE WORLD

Dr. Von is a father and grandfather.

Dr. Von has been working with children in trouble since living on the Lower East Side in 1959.

He created and operated "Humanitas Systems", and sold EEG biofeedback devices during the 60's. He wrote the biofeedback reviews for "The Whole Earth Catalog" until its last resurrection.

ADD or Attention Deficit Disorder requires about 40-60 hours of EEG Biofeedback training and Dr. Von insists "So long as the family is not dysfunctional, EEG Biofeedback training alone will do the job."

Hyperactivity - there is a recent book The Myth of ADD. This is a reincarnation of a book which Divoky wrote in the '60s regarding hyperactivity. I'd just love to have one of these authors live with me and my kids for a week! Back in the 60s Sam Corson of Ohio State put together a colony of dogs all of whose ancestors back to their three times great grandparents had been hyperactive. Let me tell you, these were HYPERACTIVE dogs. Sam then did something wonderful, he cured the same dogs and took them off speed. ADHD needs maybe 90 sessions. Dr. Von says "My last doggie client visits me a couple of times a week and is quiet but warm and friendly."

Pain of all types responds to EEG Biofeedback training. Dr. Von loves his cases of spastic bowel syndrome (excruciating bowel pain followed by painful diarrhea) -- 4-10 sessions of EEG Biofeedback training in well -functioning adults. No drugs. . . Why do more? Anxiety, Depression, Phobias, and Panic -- Psychotherapy is hard to do, doesn't work very well, and takes a lot of time and money. EEG Biofeedback training is easy to do, works exceptionally well, and takes relatively little time and money compared to psychotherapy.

Alcohol and drug abuse -- The APA "Monitor" for September 1997 asks why psychotherapy drug programs aren't working. For the same reason that non-AA alcohol therapy programs never worked. Psychotherapy for alcoholism is incredibly expensive, and useless. EEG biofeedback training for drug and alcohol problems is simple, inexpensive and works most of the time.
